WHO WE ARE

The South Carolina Children’s Hospital Collaborative is a non-profit association representing the four children’s hospitals in South Carolina:
  • Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Upstate
  • McLeod Children’s Hospital
  • MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital
  • Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Midlands

WHY SOUTH CAROLINA CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL COLLABORATIVE?

The Collaborative was initially established in 1994 by Greenville Children’s Hospital and Palmetto Children’s Hospital as a way to address challenges for Medicaid. The success of the Collaborative’s advocacy resulted in adequate reimbursement for developmental evaluation services and played an instrumental role in greatly simplifying the Medicaid enrollment application process. Since then, we have served as a trusted resource for state legislature, state agencies and programs as well as other advocacy organizations working on behalf of children. The Collaborative also works closely with the South Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics to help improve the health, safety and well being of children in South Carolina.
